Terms of Service

Last updated: May 13, 2026

Welcome to Orbit. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Orbit ("the Service"), operated by the Orbit team. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Orbit is a tool for small, invite-only groups of friends ("circles") to find shared availability and plan hangouts. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU) to use Orbit and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Accounts

  • Provide accurate information and keep it current.
  • Keep your password and Google account secure.
  • You're responsible for activity under your account.
  • One account per person.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Orbit for anything illegal, harmful, or harassing.
  • Spam, scrape, or abuse the Service or its users.
  • Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you don't own.
  • Reverse-engineer, resell, or wrap the Service without permission.
  • Upload malware or content that violates someone's rights.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create on Orbit (circle names, hangouts, notes). You grant us a limited license to host, display, and process that content solely to provide the Service to you and your circle.

6. Third-party services

Orbit integrates with Google Calendar and Google Maps. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms. We aren't responsible for third-party services or their availability.

7. Privacy

Our handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

8. Termination

You can stop using Orbit and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that create risk to the Service or other users. On termination, your personal data is deleted per the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

Orbit is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that suggested venues, times, or availability will always be accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orbit and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or USD 50 if none).

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we'll notify you in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the Orbit team is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless local consumer law gives you the right to sue elsewhere.
